Alas, the supply of targets was seldom sufficient, and most dwarves grew tired of it long before their throwing skills had peaked. Indeed, it wasn't until an enterprising instructor sent an errant student out to serve as a target that the game known as Dorfball was conceived..."

It is with great satisfaction and stifled chuckles that Badlands announces (and finally releases) Dorfball, a peculiar take on Myth II that shows just how far a strange idea can be taken with a little Fear and Loathing. Not for the faint of heart, or slow of modem, Dorfball implements the classic schoolyard game dodgeball inside the Myth II engine, resulting in something certain to infuriate conservative Myth players the world over.

In addition to the Tagset and two maps, Dorfball includes instructions on how to make your own Dorfball arenas. If you've got a great idea for a Dorfball arena, you're encouraged to give it a shot... why should we have all the fun?

Of course, Dorfball isn't for everyone... but never fear, for Badlands is still making classic Myth II maps (as well as new arenas). And if oddball humor and strange new tactics aren't your thing, then at least the small download means you won't have wasted too much time. Enjoy!
